A Message from the Committee
A little over 15 years ago, 400 women marched through the Arch in white dresses and black, closed-toe shoes to celebrate an accomplishment many can only dream of, matriculating from "Spelmanites" to "Spelman Women." Across the street, our Morehouse brothers watched as Dr. Massey gave his last presidential address, and with the switch of a tassel, went from "Men of Morehouse" to "Morehouse Men."
May 20, 2007, marked the end of an era -- our time to depart from our Beloved Spelman and Mother Morehouse. Over the course of fifteen years, we have grown to become a powerful, fearless, and dynamic class of leaders, innovators, and change-makers in almost every industry imaginable. And even with these accolades, it's impossible to forget the fond memories from our college years and think about how far we've come -- shuttle rides to 580 and Club 112, dorm parties, step shows, pageants, Market Fridays, convocations, study sessions at Woodruff Library aka "Club Woody," and Senior Week, to name just a few.
